Cochise Cats is a partnership between Cochise College and The University of Arizona. It is designed to provide services and support to obtaining an associate degree at Cochise College and transferring to The University of Arizona to obtain a bachelor degree. Students who participate in the Cochise Cats program will work with both institutions to ensure a seamless transfer.
Becoming a Cochise Cat is free and easy!
"I did not expect personalized attention, but that is exactly what I have received since my first meeting with my academic advisor. I think if I would have known more about how much assistance I would receive coming back to school, I would have come back sooner." - Cochise Cat '18
Please note: There is no minimum grade point average for acceptance into Cochise Cats. However, participation in the program does not guarantee admission to Cochise College or UA South.
When becoming a Cochise Cat, students get the benefit of applying for a transfer scholarship through the UA Bridge Transfer program. Requirements for the scholarship include:
Must be at least one year away from transferring to the UA when applying
Does not apply to current/previous UA students or current high school students enrolled in dual enrollment courses
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and complete a minimum of 36 units at the time of UA admissions
The scholarship is awarded per year and is available for two consecutive years (four semesters total)!
If you meet the requirements for the UA Bridge scholarship, apply today at UA Bridge Application.
